Hey — Alex here. I'm a design engineer: I own our design system by day and sweat the pixels it ships. By night I make small tools, type experiments, and this site.

The short history: view-source kid, a detour through freelance gigs that had nothing to do with software, then a decade of product work — junior to senior to the design-systems seat I'm in now. The blog started as notes between those steps and never stopped.

I started writing here because I kept solving the same problems twice. Now the blog is the first place I look things up — and if my notes help someone else along the way, even better.
